Active engagement: modernization and migration currently underway.
Overview
Pinnacle Technology LLC is supporting the modernization and migration of a major European public-sector open data platform, including frontend modernization, backend transition planning, STACKIT cloud infrastructure setup, secure deployment workflows, and ongoing managed hosting support.
This work builds on more than three years of platform maintenance, enhancement delivery, and operational support, expanding Pinnacle's role from application development and support into sovereign-cloud infrastructure, hosting, monitoring, and long-term platform operations.
The Modernization
Pinnacle Technology LLC is delivering a significant modernization effort for a European public-sector open data platform focused on improving long-term scalability, maintainability, security, and operational resilience.
The engagement includes rebuilding legacy frontend and backend components, supporting the transition away from older implementation technologies, preparing a new STACKIT Cloud-based hosting environment, and migrating the current platform to a modernized deployment model. Unlike a traditional application development engagement, Pinnacle is also taking responsibility for the hosting and ongoing operational management of the environment.
Sovereign-Cloud Infrastructure
The target infrastructure is STACKIT Cloud, a German-based cloud provider aligned with European sovereign-cloud requirements. Pinnacle's work includes planning and configuring staging and production environments, defining deployment flows, setting access and security controls, supporting SSL/TLS configuration, establishing application routing, configuring CI/CD workflows, and preparing the platform for reliable long-term hosting.
Built on a Multi-Year Foundation
This modernization builds on Pinnacle's existing multi-year role maintaining and enhancing the platform, including bug fixes, feature enhancements, release support, and operational coordination. The expanded engagement spans the full platform lifecycle: application modernization, infrastructure architecture, cloud migration, deployment automation, managed hosting, and ongoing maintenance.
